The multiverse is like countless drifting bubbles. When these bubbles collide and tear open spatial rifts known as “Gates,” anomalous creatures and unknown substances from other worlds flood into reality, silently eroding the order of the world. Department Zero is the hidden guardian of the world, operating from the shadows. They detect boundary points, seal off rifts, contain anomalies that cross over, and erase the public’s related memories, maintaining surface-level peace through concealed lies. Years ago, the “Zero Control Plan” nearly drove the rifts into extinction. But now, long-dormant boundary points have suddenly begun to awaken on a massive scale, showing clear signs of human manipulation. Lu Qian, chief of the Containment Division, leads his team into one high-risk anomalous site after another: rescuing survivors inside unstable “Bridge Zones,” breaking through counterattacks from otherworldly creatures, and confronting representatives of an alien civilization on the brink of destruction. As the truth behind the old Control Plan gradually resurfaces, the buried sacrifices, sins, and long-sealed secrets of the past emerge together with the rifts.
