In the final years of the Showa era, Japanese society is thrown into turmoil, with resources growing increasingly scarce. The authorities restart the long-sealed “Old Relics Recovery Plan,” dispatching salvage fleets into the deep sea to search for sunken supplies left behind from World War II. Among the wreckage, the crew unexpectedly retrieves a Chinese-style coffin covered in mysterious talismans. No one knows why this Eastern coffin crossed the ocean, or how it came to sink in these waters. As the coffin is forcibly opened, a Chinese jiangshi that has slept for a hundred years awakens and makes its way ashore. Japan’s control systems and response methods completely fail against this Eastern evil. The port falls, fear spreads, and a wave of Chinese horror crossing the seas slowly begins to unfold on foreign soil.
