Unbox Privacy Policy

Welcome to Unbox application, developed by Flouuy (the “Developer”). We respect your privacy and process information only as necessary to provide the App’s features.

1. Information We Process

  • Photo library: The App requests photo access to index, display, organize, share, and delete photos on your device. Original photos remain in the system photo library. The App database stores only lightweight information such as asset identifiers, dates, organization states, and statistics.
  • Photo location: The App may read capture coordinates embedded in a photo and use a system service to display a place name. It does not read or track your device’s current location.
  • Local settings: Language, browsing order, organization records, AI configuration, and purchase entitlement information are stored locally on your device.
  • AI appraisal: Only when you actively use AI appraisal are the 1–2 photos selected for that request sent to your chosen provider, such as Volcano Engine Ark, OpenAI, Anthropic, or a compatible custom service. AI appraisal is optional.
  • Purchase information: Android Premium purchases are processed by Google Play. The App stores only the product, transaction, and purchase-state information needed to verify entitlement, and does not store payment-card details.

The App does not require an account, use advertising or user-tracking SDKs, or provide a Developer-operated photo cloud-sync service.

2. How We Use Information

Information is used only to provide photo browsing and organization, restore progress, display photo dates and places, perform AI appraisal when requested, verify Google Play purchases, and maintain the security and operation of the App.

3. Information Sharing

The Developer does not sell or trade your personal information. Information may leave your device only when:

  • You request AI appraisal and the selected photos and API request are sent to the chosen AI service;
  • You use the system sharing interface to send a photo to a recipient or application selected by you;
  • Google Play processes a purchase or restoration;
  • The operating system provides photo, reverse-geocoding, sharing, or deletion services;
  • Disclosure is required by law or lawful process.

Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

4. Local Storage and Security

The photo index, organization records, and settings are stored in the App’s private SQLite database. Purchase entitlement is stored in secure device storage. The AI API Key is currently stored in plaintext in the App’s private SQLite database. It is not uploaded to a Developer-operated backend, but it is sent to your selected AI endpoint for authentication.

HEIC/HEIF photos may be temporarily converted to JPEG for AI appraisal, and temporary files are removed after the upload attempt. AI scores are not persisted. The App attempts to delete temporary remote AI files, but third-party logs and retention practices remain subject to the provider’s own policies.

We use reasonable safeguards, but no local storage or network transmission is completely secure. Protect your device and API Key, and use only trusted AI service URLs.

5. Your Choices

You may revoke photo or location permission in system settings, avoid configuring an AI API Key, reset browsing records, or remove local data by clearing App data or uninstalling the App. Revoking photo access may prevent photo organization, sharing, and deletion features from working.

The App does not provide user accounts, so the Developer does not hold account records requiring a separate deletion request.
